I hope that everyone is having a wonderful 4th of July, and are getting to celebrate with friends and family! I especially hope that these two, Cortney and Jon, are also having a wonderful holiday! These two have been together for over 5 years now, and they met in college through a dance club. They were BOTH there to study psychology, and now they both work as mental health counselors in Richmond! They share a love of Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings, which they are planning on incorporating into their Endless Journey themed wedding. I’m so excited to see what they put together for their fandom wedding! Now, I’ve heard of sparkler exists, and they are so much fun and photograph beautifully. This creative couple wants to do a light saber send off, and I have to say I’m so giddy just thinking about it! It’s such a unique idea that will completely fit them and their relationship together. Who doesn’t love getting to play with some light sabers??
For their engagement session, we met up at Midlothian Mines Park. It’s such a great location, with a lot of beautiful spots! We started out on the forest side of the park, walking out to this wonderful little bridge. Not only was it a beautiful setting for some photos, it was also a great break from the intense heat! After our little break from the heat, we walked back over to the main area of the park to explore around the lakeside. The light was beautiful, and so were the smiles from these two! I had so much getting to see them again and catching up on how their lives have been over the past few months. They are so sweetly in love, and I can’t wait for their wedding day to finally come!
