This is why I love doing what I do. This is my sister, Zoey. My whole life, I’ve only ever seen a slight smirk or uncomfortable smile. I’ve been taking yearly photos of Zoey and Jathen for a while now, and she’s always hated having to do it! We got her all dressed up this year, and instead of taking studio portraits, we went out and found a field of flowers. I’ve never seen so many confident smiles with teeth, completely ignoring the bugs and mud of being outside, and being comfortable enough to try all the different poses and things I wanted her to try and do. We got back in the car to drive home, and I let her see some of the photos on the camera. She almost couldn’t contain her excitement, and just had to tell me that she felt so pretty, so comfortable, and so confident in these photos. My heart almost broke. I LOVE being able to make someone realize the true beauty that they have, and feel so comfortable in their own skin. Zoey, you’re beautiful!
