VMFA Sculpture Garden Engagement Session | Richmond Wedding Photographer
Kali and Logan’s engagement session at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts was an absolute dream! I have been SO excited for their session! Getting to meet in person just doesn’t compare to video calls. I love getting to spend some time getting to know my couples, and seeing how they interact with each other! Within minutes of starting their session, I could tell that we were going to have a blast. Logan and Kali were grinning from ear to ear, giggling with each other over inside jokes, and just clearly couldn’t get enough of each other! Kali’s gorgeous smile was constant, each and every time Logan so much as looked at her 🙂
These two met about 3 and a half years ago when they were applying for a job! As Kali puts it, there was this weirdo who just wouldn’t stop talking to her at this job interview. Eventually, she and this weirdo became friends! They ended up at the Baker’s Crust in Shortpump for their first date, followed by a genuinely terrible movie. The movie may have been awful, but they knew then and there it would be the last first date either of them had! Since then, they’ve enjoyed every moment of their busy lives together. In between their studies and work schedules, they love spending time at Top Golf, the Cheesecake Factory, and relaxing with some good ole’ Netflix binging (American Horror Stories is their current favorite!).
Back in May, Kali and Logan were taking a stroll through Maymont. Kali was expecting a normal day of hanging out at the park, until Logan started checking his phone and acting strange. He started picking up the pace, practically running them to the Italian gardens! Kali was so confused, until Logan got down on one knee. Through the sobs and happy tears, Kali managed an ecstatic, “YES!” Logan had coordinated with a friend to photograph the moment, and surprised Kali with a little photo session after 🙂
Now, they are planning their Main Street Station wedding (and looking after their new pup, Leo!), and enjoying every moment that they get to spend together! Congratulations again you two, and I can’t wait for your wedding in June!
