Meet Casey and Josh! Back in 2017, Casey was enjoying a night out her friend Brittany. Brittany introduced Casey to a mutual friend, Josh, and they immediately hit it off! After a dinner at Lemaire at the Jefferson, they started dating, and Lemaire became a favorite anniversary spot for them. About a year ago, Casey and Josh welcomed their spunky cocker-spaniel pup, Sammy, to their first home together! They absolutely love getting to turn their home into their happy place. When they aren’t enjoying wine and a relaxing fire on their porch, they love finding the best places in town for brunch!
Back in August, Casey and Josh were enjoying some time off of work. Josh asked if Casey wanted to enjoy another dinner at Lemaire, and Casey excitedly agreed! When they arrived at the Jefferson, Josh randomly asked another guest if they would take a photo of them together. As they posed for a quick photo together, Josh got down one knee to ask Casey to marry him. Casey let out an ecstatic, “yes!” before learning the rest of the surprise! Josh had invited both of their parents, who had been watching from the upper level. They all got to celebrate with a delicious dinner, and now Casey and Josh are planning their fall wedding at the Club at Glenmore! (And of course, Brittany will be Casey’s maid of honor!)
For their engagement session, we decided on the beautiful grounds of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Richmond! Casey used to run by the area often, and always thought it had such a unique Richmond feel to it. It was so nice finally getting to meet them in person, and seeing the way that they care for each other! Their love for each other is so evident in their smiles, and the way they keep each other laughing. I just can’t get over the beautiful photos we got, and I’m so happy for these two!
