A Spring Backyard Wedding with Elegant Details | Virginia Wedding Photographer
Sarah and Kenny finally tied the knot last Friday, on a gorgeous spring day! They were married on a special property that has been Sarah’s family for over 40 years. Their day was full of joy and beauty, from the amazing scenery to the guests’ smiles and excitement! After a fun morning of hair and makeup, it was time for Sarah to get into her dress. With the help of her mother, Lynda, Sarah got ready and made her way outside to surprise her bridesmaids. Everyone was so excited to see her final look (especially the flower girl, Maddie!) and couldn’t wait for the ceremony to begin!
As Sarah linked arms with her dad at the bottom of the family’s stairs, all eyes were on them in this special moment! Kenny smiled warmly as his bride made her way down the aisle towards him, and he took her hand. Kenny’s brother and best man, Billy, officiated the wedding and welcomed all of their guests. After leading Sarah and Kenny through their vows and exchanging rings, it was finally time to pronounce them as Mr. and Mrs. Dantinne! Sarah and Kenny shared a kiss to a resounding applause, and made their way up the aisle to an instrumental version of Kiss Me.
Cocktail hour was a flurry of guests mingling and admiring all of the gorgeous details, and trying to figure out the “Sip and Solve,” crossword puzzle. Sarah and Kenny then kicked off their reception with a choreographed first dance that ended in a fantastic lift! After dinner, Kenny’s brother and Best Man, Billy, and Sarah’s sister and Matron of Honor, Deb, shared toasts. Billy reminisced about the first day Kenny introduced him to Sarah, and Deb spoke of the day Sarah proclaimed to her that she had found the man that she wanted to marry! Sarah’s father, Bill, shared a speech titled, “Seven lessons learned from almost 52 years of marriage,” which concluded with his final tip: to enjoy the ride.
Sarah and Kenny cut their beautiful cake, which was made by Kenny’s mother, Patti, and the dancing began! Guests also enjoyed plenty of fun with photo booth throughout the night. This group had a blast, with a constant crowd on the dance floor! Later in the evening, Sarah also changed into a sequin gown to dance the rest of the night away in. After sharing one last private dance, Sarah and Kenny ended their night with a confetti popper send off!
Congratulations again Sarah and Kenny, and I hope you’ve been enjoying your first week as husband and wife!
