A Colorful Spring Wedding with DIY Details | Prince George Wedding Photographer
After almost 11 years together, Vickie and David celebrated their love at the stunning Barns of Kanak! From the music throughout the evening, to the handmade book page flowers, their day was filled with unique touches that incorporated some of their favorite things. Vickie and David spent their morning laughing with their closest friends, before it was quickly time for their first look!
As David got into place for their first look, he could feel the anticipation building into excited nerves! As Vickie walked up to David and tapped him on the shoulder, they burst into smiles and embraced in a hug. They shared a sweet moment together, as they admired each other’s looks for the day. After a few portraits around the beautiful property grounds, their Best Man, Liam, and Maid of Honor, Emily, joined them for a few wedding party photos before relaxing inside to get ready for the ceremony.
As Vickie walked down the aisle, David beamed with pride. They took each other’s hands as their ceremony began, and listened to the words of their officiant. Then, Vickie’s brother, Ken, shared a reading by Neil Gaiman, entitled, “Wedding Thoughts: All I Know About Love.” Once it was time to share their vows, Vickie and David rolled dice to see who would share their vows first! They each vowed to build their dreams together, and to give respect, love, and loyalty through all the trials and triumphs of their lives together. As they shared a kiss, Vickie and David were finally pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Lamberson! They exited their ceremony in a sea of bubbles to, “Married Life,’ from Disney’s Up.
Cocktail hour was a swirl of tasty treats and cornhole games, before guests took their seats for the introduction of the bride and groom. After dinner, Emily and Liam each gave a toast, sharing stories from their long friendships with Vickie and David. Before the dance floor opened for the night, it was time for a stuffed animal toss! Instead of a traditional bouquet toss, they tossed a Walle and Eve into the crowd for guests to catch. Their reception included an amazing spread of desserts, including Italian Wedding Cookies, Dutch Chocolate Cookies, and Lemon Bars. There was also a plethora of board games available, for any guests who didn’t feel like dancing!
As the night ended, Vickie and David shared a last dance to, “1000 miles,” by Vanessa Carlton. Guests then sent them off into the night with a fun bubble exit!
Congratulations again Vickie and David, and I hope you’ve been enjoying your first week as husband and wife!
