An Engagement Session with Mountain Views | Richmond Engagement Photographer
Vickie and David first met while they were both in college in Pennsylvania! They had both signed up for the same class, which included a 2 week trip to the southwest. They sat next to each other on the van ride down, and Vickie actually fell asleep on David’s shoulder! Over the course of the trip, they quickly realized how much they had in common, and have been dating ever since. They love playing board and video games together, along with catching all of the new Star Wars and Marvel shows! Vickie and David also have two dogs together, Ziggy and Dana. When the weather is nice, they love to all go on hikes together!
When they started talking about getting married, the two designed a ring together, for when the moment felt right. That moment came on a quiet night at home in January. To Vickie’s surprise, David had already bought the ring! He got down on one knee, and asked Vickie to be his lifetime player 2. Through the tears, Vickie let out an excited, “yes!” and now these two are planning their May wedding together!
For their engagement session, we had originally decided on the popular Raven’s Roost Overlook! The mountains reminded Vickie and David of where they met in Pennsylvania, and we were so excited for some gorgeous views. Of course, a rainstorm came in the night before that shutdown almost the entirety of the Blue Ridge Parkway! Thankfully, the nearby Rockfish Gap Overlook was still accessible, and we were still able to get some gorgeous mountain scenery. Ziggy and Dana also got to come along for photos, and they did such a great job looking at the camera! Vickie and David were so much fun, and couldn’t help but laugh at the cold. We kept warm with plenty of twirls and piggy backs, and I just can’t get over their smiles!
Congratulations again you two, and I can’t wait for your wedding in May!
