HEY! I'M

A Historic Pole Green Church Wedding | Chad & Amy

A Fall Wedding at Historic Pole Green | Mechanicsville Wedding Photographer

Surrounded by the most perfect fall colors and weather, Chad and Amy finally said, “I do,” at the beautiful Historic Pole Green Church! After seven wonderful years, their friends and family were so excited to finally help them celebrate their wedding day! Amy stepped into her dress with the help of her mom, Ming-Der, before having a reveal with her bridal party. After a fun morning of getting ready with both of their groups, it was finally time for Chad and Amy to share their first look.

They exchanged letters to one another as the anticipation built, before Chad was able to finally turn around and see Amy. These two were full of loving smiles and hugs as soon as he turned around! After sharing their intimate moment, they met with Amy’s aunt Mandy (who also served as their officiant for the day!) for a private communion. Chad and Amy are also avid rock climbers, and wanted to incorporate that into their wedding photos! They had gifted each other personalized chalk bags, and even brought along their climbing shoes with a special karabiner.  Afterwards, it was time to meet up with their wedding party for some fun portraits before their ceremony!

As guests arrived at the open-air Historic Pole Green Church, everyone took their places for the ceremony. As Amy walked down the aisle with both of her parents, Chad looked on with such love and pride! Beginning their ceremony, their officiant reminded everyone that although they will say, “I do” today, they will do so 1000 times over again throughout their relationship. Amy promised to be steadfast and supportive in their relationship, and to show how much she cherishes Chad in their daily lives. Chad then promised to make sure his love will be her rock and strong foundation. Rachel, Chad’s sister, then gave a reading of the poem, “I Saw Two Clouds at Morning.” Finally, Amy and Chad were pronounced husband and wife to a round of applause! As guests cheered and the tunes of, “I’m a Believer,” began, the air was filled with bubbles for the most joyful bubble exit!

Guests then made their way to the Hanover Tavern for the reception, where they could enjoy games of cornhole, a photobooth complete with silly props, and a selfie challenge to enjoy throughout the night! The newlyweds made their way into their reception to cheers and applause before sharing in their first dance to, “I Got You,” by Jack Johnson. After a quick outfit change, Amy and her dad, Hai-Lung, shared a touching dance. Chad and his mom, Pamela, began swaying along to some slow music, before the beat switched! They surprised guests with a medley of fun dance moves that had everyone smiling and excited to get on the dance floor! Everyone had a blast celebrating Chad and Amy for the rest of the night, and it was so touching to witness all of the love in their lives.

Congratulations again Chad and Amy, and I hope you’ve been enjoying the first few days of being newlyweds!
