Richmond Cherry Blossom Engagement Session | Richmond Wedding Photographer
Valentina and John’s Byrd Park Spring Engagement Session was absolutely stunning! I have been so excited for their engagement session, and to finally get to meet them in person! We had been emailing back and forth trying to find the perfect location for their session. Valentina really wanted to get some gorgeous blooms in their engagement photos, and absolutely adores pink cherry blossoms! We found the perfect spots at Byrd Park where the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and we even found some buttercups!
For their more casual outfit, Valentina and John decided to wear the outfits from their very first date together. I thought that this was so incredibly sweet! Do you remember what you wore on your first date with your significant other? This was such a great way to make their engagement photos special and unique, by capturing that moment they had shared together. These two started dating long distance during the Summer of 2019. This past Thanksgiving, John took Valentina out to a local park and proposed! Valentina was over the moon, and soon moved from her home in California to be with John here in Virginia. They love getting to explore the different restaurants of Richmond together!
Throughout our session, I couldn’t get enough of their laughter and joyful smiles! John and Valentina are such easy going and laid back people, and I could tell that they are the type to always find the laughter in any situation. They are so playful with each other, and couldn’t stop making each other laugh the whole session. They are definitely each other’s best friend, and just can’t wait to get married. It was such a fun time! We were all equally excited when the sun decided to come out and shine through the cherry blossoms. The photos we got then were some of my favorites from the whole session!
