Caclinh and Matt | Richmond Wedding Photographer
On a beautiful summer’s day, Caclinh, Matt, and Matt’s sister took a trip out to Crump Park. Caclinh had just spent her day volunteering free dental care at the special Olympics, but Matt had a little game at the park planned for them! The game started with Matt’s sister asking them questions, with them Caclinh and Matt writing their answers on a chalkboard. First, it was their favorite quality of each other, their least favorite quality of each other, and then their first impression of each other. For his first impression, Matt wrote “future wife” and got down on one knee to pop the question! How sweet! Of course Caclinh said yes, and soon they’ll be getting married in September!
I was so excited to finally get to meet up with them for their engagement session, after all the craziness of the lockdowns started easing. We had a beautiful spring day, with the most pleasant breeze! We headed out to a popular house on Monument Avenue to begin our session, and I was blown away by the picturesque location. Not only were the teal accents of the building so charming, but I loved how Caclinh and Matt’s outfits fit the location so well! I was definitely enjoying a bit of photographer heaven with all of the gorgeous light, but the way Matt brought out Caclinh’s gorgeous smiles over and over again was definitely the cherry on top. These two are just so much fun together, and I’m so happy that they found each other!
We crossed the street for some vibrant portraits in the greens of the Monument medians, and then headed over the VMFA. If you didn’t know, the VMFA gardens are absolutely stunning at sunset! The flowers were in full bloom, and the myriad of colors from the stairs to the sculpture work just made for some amazingly dynamic backgrounds. Just look at the way Caclinh’s stunning dress pops! The beautiful colors are ALMOST as vibrant as their radiant smiles 🙂 Seeing the two of them laugh and chat throughout our session was just heartwarming, and getting to witness more of their connection together. Congratulations again Caclinh and Matt, and I can’t wait to see you two again in September!!
