VMFA Sculpture Garden Engagement Session | Richmond Wedding Photographer
Julia and Thomas’s engagement session at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Sculpture Garden was such a dream! It was the perfect spring day with just the right amount of sun, and a wonderful breeze. Usually, I have to wait a few months before my couples are ready for their session. Julia and Thomas really wanted to enjoy the beautiful spring weather, and were ready to quickly plan their session! They happened to be driving into Richmond from their home in Harrisonburg this week, and we found the perfect time to get together. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, and I’m so excited with how their photos turned out!
Julia and Thomas met back in high school at Trinity. They started dating the summer before their junior year of high school, and have been together ever since! They love making homemade pasta, and hunting down all of the best coffee and pastry shops together near their home in Harrisonburg. They love spending quality time full of laughter together! For Julia’s birthday a few weeks ago, Thomas had a surprise planned at the Jefferson. She thought they were just going to spend a relaxing night at the Jefferson while they were in town visiting their family. What she didn’t know was that their moms were decorating their hotel room with flowers, cupcakes, balloons, and champagne! She was so surprised, and she and Thomas enjoyed eating some room service on the balcony. Next thing she knew, Thomas was down on one knee asking her to marry him! Now they are planning their January wedding at the Jefferson, and I couldn’t be more excited for them!
Julia and Thomas did such a great job at their session, and I’m just in love with their photos! They were full of laughs, and were just so cute together. They were so willing to try a bunch of different ideas, and Thomas was perfectly happy to dip kiss Julia the 30 different times I asked! Their session was so fun and upbeat, and I loved seeing how much they support each other. I’m SO happy for these two, and I can’t wait for their wedding in January! As if they didn’t have enough going on to be excited about, they are also BOTH graduating from college in the next 2 weeks!
