A Spring Eco-Friendly Cove Wedding | Charlottesville Wedding Photographer
Words truly can’t describe the magic that was Lydia & Dominick’s wedding! It was a gorgeous spring day as everyone gathered on Lydia’s dad’s property they call “The Cove.” Lydia and her family have countless memories there, and it was the perfect setting for their wedding. The day was full of so many special moments and happy tears! Everyone felt blessed with witnessing the love between these two 🙂
As Lydia arrived for her first look with Dominick, he was spending a special moment with his mother, Sarah. After a few encouraging words and getting the jitters out, he was so excited to see his bride! In the back gardens of The Cove, they shared one of the sweetest first looks I’ve ever had the honor of witnessing. Dominick exclaimed with excitement, and neither of them could contain their emotions as they embraced! They shared tears and laughter as they reminisced, and realized that their wedding day was finally here.
With the sprawling grounds of The Cove in the background, their ceremony began. Neither Lydia nor Dominick able to contain their excitement! As they added soil to their unity tree, Dominick’s grandmother turned to his grandfather and whispered, “they remind me of us.” As Lydia and Dominick shared their vows, they spoke of each other’s kindness. They shared stories of the hours they would spend driving to one another and stocking up on nose kisses, and how Dominick always wipes away Lydia’s tears. As everyone watching wept with happy tears, Dominick and Lydia were finally announced Mr. And Mrs. Vernon!
Their reception included games like corn hole and ladder golf, and guests explored the property to enjoy a sandy lakeside. An array of rugs served as a dance floor, which opened with a special song for Lydia and her mom. Guests made it clear that Lydia and Dominick are the most selfless, caring, and loving couple who deserved all the celebration. John, the Best Man, noted in his speech that Dominick had asked him that morning why they deserved to have all of these people come and celebrate them. John responded, “you always put everyone else first, and today, let us put you first.”
The rest of the night was a swirl of celebrations, as they danced the night away under on The Cove. Congratulations again Lydia & Dominick, and I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in Spain!
