A Fun Engagement Session in Downtown Richmond | Richmond Engagement Photographer
Meet Chad and Amy! This laid-back couple originally met through mutual friends in college, and soon bonded over many of their shared interests. They love getting to spend time together cooking, playing Paladins, and going rock climbing! On Labor Day weekend, Chad planned a trip for them to his father’s house on the Chesapeake Bay. This house is a special place, where they’ve gotten to enjoy plenty of fun memories together! He planned a small hike for them that ended on a beach. Once they reached the beach, Chad finally asked Amy to marry him. Amy responded with an ecstatic, “yes!” and now they are planning their fall wedding!
For their engagement session, we were so excited to put together something unique that showcased the fun they love having together! Chad and Amy especially love Kokee Tea in Carytown, so we planned a fun afternoon of walking around downtown. It was the perfect way to end their day, as they had both taken exams that morning! This hard working couple are both students at VCU, and love finding ways to enjoy their time together in between studying. Amy shared that they had recently started a watch through of Survivor from season one, which I’m so excited for them to finish! They are also planning one of their first outdoor climbs together in New Hampshire later this summer. Chad jokes that Amy hasn’t dropped him yet, and he couldn’t ask for a more reliable partner than that!
We ended their session in the quiet fields of the Shelton House at Rural Plains. They actually used to live near this park, and have spent plenty of time exploring the trails! It was the perfect end to such a fun session, and I’m just in love with their never-ending smiles 🙂 Congratulations again Chad and Amy, and I’m so excited for your wedding in October!
