A Fall Engagement session with lake views | Richmond Engagement Photographer
This is probably a given, but it always makes my heart so happy when I get to photograph friends of mine! I know Lane and Joe from high school, and needless to say, I’ve been SO excited for their engagement session! These two originally met way back in their freshman year, thanks to a fateful scheduling error. The next year, they ended up in 3 different classes together! They got to chatting, and have been inseparable ever since. Over the years they’ve laughed and grown together, and supported each other through their crazy schedules! They love getting to visit farmer’s markets, and spending their evenings relaxing together on the couch.
Last October, Lane and Joe took a trip out to Lane’s family house on the bay. This is one of Lane’s favorite places, and her family always makes a yearly effort to spend quality time together there! One morning, Joe surprised her with brunch at a local bed and breakfast, and Lane was looking forward to the fun outing. They gathered their things to head out, and Joe started walking towards the dock, instead of their cars. Joe led a surprised Lane out onto the dock, and got down on one knee to propose. Lane excitedly said, “Yes!” and now these two are planning their June wedding together!
For their engagement session, we decided on the gorgeous views of Forest Hill Park! We followed the winding trails down to the lake, and had a blast exploring the area. Lane and Joe are so much fun, and I loved getting to see them goof off together. They even surprised me by busting out a few dance moves, and I’m in love with the photos that we got!
Congratulations again Lane and Joe, and I can’t wait for your wedding in June!
