Meet Caitlin and Kyle! These two first met when they both started working at the Richmond restaurant, Travinia. (I actually know them through mutual friends who also worked there!) While they were in training together, Kyle always seemed to find a way to sit next to Caitlin during the meetings. They made a great team when they worked together, and pretty soon realized they would make a good team for life! It’s been history ever since, and they’ve now been together for 7 years. They love cooking together and watching cooking shows, along with spending time with their two pups, Rex and Ava!
Last December, they went to Lewis Ginter for the evening to look at all of the Christmas lights. During their walk, they found themselves under a tunnel of lit up bees. Caitlin was so excited to look at all of the lights, and let out an excited, “I love bees!” Little did she know, Kyle was behind her on one knee ready to propose. Kyle responded with, “Speaking of bees…” and when Caitlin turned around, he asked her, “Would you bee mine?” Caitlin let out an excited, “Yes!,” and they are now planning their April wedding at Triple Crossing Brewery.
For their engagement session, we started out at the Martin Agency in downtown Richmond. Caitlin and Kyle love the historic vibes of the city, and this is one of my favorite places for that! After waiting out the traffic for some fun portraits on the cobblestone streets, we headed over to Great Shiplock Park for the second half of their session. The fall colors and lake views didn’t disappoint, and I just couldn’t get over the lighting under the tracks! I loved seeing Caitlin and Kyle laugh through their session, and have such a great time together. These two are so much fun, and I’m just in love with their portraits!
