A Fun VMFA Engagement Session | Richmond Engagement Photographer
Meet Charlotte and Ben! These two shared their first date at Hardywood in downtown Richmond, and quickly found that they couldn’t get enough of each other! They love getting to explore the city and all of the fun that it has to offer. Tang & Biscuit and Tazza Kitchen became a favorite place for them to visit, along with all of the quirky streets and alleyways in between! Back in January, Charlotte and Ben were planning to visit Charlotte’s family for the evening. On their way, they stopped by Tazza Kitchen, and ended up driving past their favorite alleyway. They stopped to grab another selfie under the hanging lights, and before Charlotte knew it, Ben was down on one knee! Charlotte said, “Yes!” and they are now planning their July wedding at the Mill at Fine Creek!
For their engagement session, we met up at their special alleyway for a few portraits, and to explore the Scott’s Addition area! Then, we headed over to the VMFA sculpture garden for a few photos with their dogs, Sydney and Lucy. They’ve had Sydney for the past few years, and just recently added Lucy to their bunch! Ben’s cousin, Dan, was kind enough to come and hang out with them until it was their turn for a few portraits. He was also SO helpful in getting Lucy’s attention, and making sure they were rewarded with plenty of treats! They kept us giggling and awwing at all of their adorable head tilts, and endless puppy energy! Charlotte and Ben were so patient through the whole process, laughing with each other over all of the shenanigans.
Charlotte and Ben were all smiles for their session, and I just can’t get over the way they look at each other! They are each other’s calm through all of life’s craziness, and they just can’t wait to start their journey together as husband and wife. Congratulations again you two, and I can’t wait for your wedding in July!
