A Spring Virginia Beach Engagement Session | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer
I had such a great time meeting Lydia and Dominick at their Red Wing Park engagement session! Since their first email, I’ve been so excited to meet these two in person. They are such a sweet couple, and are so excited to plan their unconventional farmhouse wedding! Although they had already gotten engagement photos done, they loved the chance to get to meet in person before their wedding day (it’s really the secret to great wedding photos!). They also had just graduated from college, and wanted some photos in their graduation gear for a mother’s day present to Dominick’s mom! We quickly planned their Red Wing Park engagement session so they’d have some photos in time for a gift, and I’m so excited to finally get to share their photos!
These two originally met through mutual friends at Virginia Tech. Lydia was attending school there, and Dominick was in town from ODU visiting some friends. Fast forward to last September, and Dominick planned a sunrise walk on the beach before Lydia had to go to work for the day. He proposed on the beach, and Lydia was ecstatic! Then he got to surprise her with a day off of work to spend together. They got to spend the day hanging out at the beach, going to a coffee shop, having a nice lunch, and going out to dinner! Isn’t that just so sweet!
After their session, Lydia and Dominick were kind enough to take me out for dinner at the nearby Whiskey Kitchen. It was so nice to be able to just sit and chat, and get to know each other better! They love getting to go out adventuring with friends, and also love playing boardgames (including the incredibly underrated game, “Headbands!”). They are such a sweet and fun loving couple, and love being in the moment together. They are especially looking forward to finding ways to make their wedding eco friendly, like collecting mason jars to use as drink cups!
Congratulations again Lydia and Dominick, for your engagement, AND your college graduation! I can’t wait for your wedding in April 🙂
