Fall Wedding with Stunning Florals | Richmond Wedding Photographer
Sandy and Kevin’s journey together finally brought them to their wedding day, and they were both more than ready to say, “I do!” Finding love at camp Ottari, Sandy and Kevin have enjoyed over 6 years of laughter together. I’ve just loved getting to know them, and our shared taste in pop punk! They’ve grown and matured so much in life together, but still have such carefree hearts that they share together. It was a gorgeous fall day at the Hanover Tavern, with the sun shining and fall colors blowing in the breeze as I arrived for their wedding!
Sandy and her bridesmaids were all busy getting ready, with nervous excitement building in the air. As the bouquet arrived, we were all stunned by the arrangement Kevin’s father had made! Soon it was time for Sandy to put on her dress, and her mother, Deirdre, and her bridesmaids were all in awe. As Deirdre used her crochet hook to loop the delicate buttons, it was finally becoming so real. Sandy walked down the stairs to her father, Sam, who was brimming with love and pride for his daughter. I just love daddy daughter first looks! They are truly just so sweet. There is such a special bond between a daughter and her father, and it was just so touching to witness the love in Sams’ eyes as he saw Sandy, moments before he would be walking her down the aisle. After some quick portraits with Sandy and all of her gorgeous bridesmaids, it was time for the ceremony!
As the bridal party took their places, Kevin looked on with joy waiting for Sandy. As she emerged with her parents side by side, everyone couldn’t contain their excitement! Kevin gazed lovingly at Sandy, as she took her place in front of him and took his hands. Their Friends and family looked on with adoration as they shared their vows to one another, amidst the beautiful fall day blooming around them. It was time for Kevin’s brother and groomsmen Ryan to present the rings, and Sandy and Kevin recited the ceremonial verses. Finally, the best man and minister, Davis, was excitedly able to present Mr. and Mrs. Pusak!! Guests, friends and family cheered as they shared their first kiss, and walked back down the aisle as husband and wife.
After some portrait time, Sandy, Kevin, and their bridal party entered the reception to celebrate! Beginning with their first dance, Sandy and Kevin swayed across the dance floor that was lit by the criss crossing of romantic hanging lights. Eyes watered as they danced to the sweet lyrics of, “I want to Hold Your Hand,” beautifully encompassing Sandy and Kevin’s adoration for each other. “I want to hold your hand,” such a pure form of love, such a pure form of friendship! Sandy and Kevin are each others’ weirdos to the end, and will always take each other’s hand. Yes, I was definitely tearing up myself! Soon, it was time for dinner, as guests shared their congratulations and compliments on the gorgeous day. Sam, Davis, and Sand’y bridesmaid’s Kristin and Elizabeth shared toasts full of nostalgia and laughter, and the cake cutting was just as ridiculous as was expected!
Everyone had a blast with the celebrations, dancing, and crowd-singing renditions of their favorite songs. After pelting out the tunes to some Blink 182 and Yellowcard, and sharing a last dance, Sandy and Kevin exited ended the reception with a glowstick send-off from all of their guests! The reception was over, but the night would continue as the party bus arrived to take them to their late night celebrations with their friends. Congratulations again Sandy and Kevin, and I hope that the party bus was a blast! I’m so glad that you two have found each other, and best of wishes as you two start this new chapter together, not only as best friends, but as husband and wife! Thanks to all of the amazing vendors that helped make the day possible!
