An Intimate Wedding with Urban Accents | Richmond Wedding Photographer
Kathryn and Charlie finally tied the knot at their Common House Richmond Wedding last Friday! Their day was absolutely spectacular, and we were blessed with the most beautiful fall weather. Charlie and his Best Man, Phillip, found themselves in a quiet corner of the venue, calming any lingering nerves with laughter. Meanwhile, with the help of her sisters and Matron of Honor, Dudley, Kathryn stepped into her wedding gown.
After an emotional first look with her parents, it was finally time for Kathryn to see Charlie! When Charlie turned around, he let out an immediate, “you look so beautiful!” followed by many “wow”s. They grinned ear to ear as they took each other in, and exclaimed that their wedding day was finally here! Soon, it was time for a few portraits with their dog, Audi, followed by portraits with their wedding party. (Thanks so much to Bruce for getting Audi to and from her portraits!)
As guests entered the Common House patio, their smiles and laughter filled the air with joy as they chatted with each other before taking their seats. As Kathryn and her feather, Satheesh, made their way down the aisle, Charlie couldn’t help but tear up. Satheesh presided over the ceremony, and shared words Charlie and Kathryn had written about what they love about each other. Charlie vowed to always motivate and encourage Kathryn, and to catch her if she ever falls! Kathryn committed to their best friendship, because without it, they wouldn’t be there today. Finally, Kathryn and Charlie were announced husband and wife! They shared their first kiss to a round of applause, and walked back down the aisle with smiles radiating happiness.
After a touching first dance to Your Song, by Elton John, Kathryn and Satheesh enjoyed a special dance, followed by Charlie and his mother, Louise. Dinner was a delicious medley of family style dishes, and guests enjoying the signature cocktails in honor of Audi! Satheesh opened the floor for toasts for the night, followed by the Best Man, Phillip, and Matron of Honor, Dudley. Their toasts were testaments to how authentically Kathryn and Charlie live their lives together, and how passionately they love those around them! Toasts ended with roaring applause, as the dance floor opened to begin partying the night away. Their night ended with a spectacular bubble exit, complete with an epic champagne spray.
Congratulations again Kathryn and Charlie, and I’m so thankful to have been able to celebrate the two of you!
