This beautiful dancer is Riley! I met Riley through my day job as an after school care counselor, and I always love getting to see the kids I work with work hard to learn new things. I can remember Riley teaching other summer campers a year ago how to do a pirouette, and now here she is doing all of these amazing tricks! She has blossomed into a beautiful and talented dancer, and I was so thrilled when Riley’s mom wanted to set up a dance mini session for her. I love dance, and watching others dance, and I’ve always wanted to do a dance session! We went to the Randolph Macon fountain, for some gorgeous photos in her dance costumes. It’s so clear how much love she has for dancing, and she was so excited to show off all of her twirls and leaps, not to mention her beautiful costumes.
We started in front of the fountain with some twirls, and she blew me away! I don’t understand how people can twirl around, especially without getting dizzy! I laughed with them about how one of my bucket list activities is to learn how to turn. I’ve always wanted to be able to dance, but I was definitely born with two left feet. It is simply not in the cards for me! Riley was quick to remind me that everyone has a talent. Her talent is dancing, mine is photography, and her mom’s talent is being such a good mom! Isn’t she just the sweetest? Riley did so well with all of her dance moves, and didn’t mind how many times I totally lied as I asked her to do that beautiful leap, “one more time!” I’m so excited for her moving up in her dance classes, and I can’t wait to see what other amazing things she is going to learn.
