Meet Josie and Bradley! These two goofballs met through Skills USA while in college. Bradley was working on his degree in computer repair, and Josie was studying pastry baking. After a fun year of traveling the country and giving lessons to students, they realized that they couldn’t get enough of each other! They bonded over their shared love of Disney, laughter, and never taking life too seriously. Back in April of 2021, Bradley planned a trip for them out to Harper’s Ferry. Hiding in Bradley’s pocket was his grandmother’s Opal that he had customized into Josie’s engagement ring! Before Josie knew it, Bradley was on one knee asking Josie to marry him. Through her happy tears, Josie exclaimed, “yes!” Now they are planning their Disney and vintage themed wedding this fall!
For their engagement session, Josie and Bradley knew they wanted something a little different! We spent the past few months researching locations that fit the retro vibe they wanted, and that would allow us to photograph on Memorial Day. After a slew of diners and antique stores turned us down, Josie suggested trying a Chick-Fil-A. They are both VIP rewards members, and knew the red in their branding could help with the retro vibe!
I have to give the BIGGEST shoutout to Megan and her staff at the La Plata Chick-Fil-A at 107 Drury Dr! Megan kindly allowed us to use her store for their engagement session, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! Josie and Bradley’s wonderfully styled outfits worked perfectly for their theme, and it all came together for a unique retro vibe. We had a blast getting to know each other better as Josie and Bradley enjoyed a delicious meal (of course completed with milkshakes!) on the patio. These two are such children at heart, and love finding the fun in any moment! They laughed and joked through their session, with the biggest smiles on their faces.
