HEY! I'M

A Summer Wedding at Historic Tuckahoe | Savannah & Matt

A Summer Garden Party Wedding | Richmond Wedding Photographer

Savannah and Matt finally said, “I do” under a canopy of trees in the beautiful gardens at Historic Tuckahoe! Their entire day was absolutely beautiful, and was also, “5 years, 2 dogs, and 1 pandemic in the making.” They couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant summer day, or more beautiful lighting across the grounds of the garden! After a fun morning of getting ready with their bridal parties, Savannah and Matt shared a sweet first look under the shaded drive of the property. They were so excited to see each other, and couldn’t believe that their wedding day was finally here! After some gorgeous portraits, we had a blast hanging out with their fantastic wedding party. These guys were so much fun, and did such a great job cheering on Savannah and Matt!

Finally, it was time for Savannah and her Dad, Conrad, to make their way down the aisle. As they walked down under the canopy of trees, Savannah and Matt were all smiles! Savannah’s mother, Cathy, joined them at the altar as they began the ceremony. Their officiant shared the story of Savannah and Matt’s first date, bringing laughter from guests at the story. Savanna let her family know that she was going on a date with someone from Bumble, and that she’d check in with them to let them know that everything was going okay. She ended up having so much fun on the date that she forgot to check in! Her mom and a friend were nearby, and they decided to stop by and make sure she was okay. Savannah was in fact okay, and that date started their journey to the altar! After exchanging their rings, Matt & Savannah were finally announced Mr. and Mrs. Majid!

After digging up their bourbon and some STUNNING sunset portraits (special thanks to Donovan the golf cart driver!) it was time for the reception! The night kicked off as the wedding party entered the reception with fun poses and dance moves before Savannah and Matt took the dance floor. They shared their first dance to Love in Slow Motion by Ed Sheeran, before it was time for toasts! Conrad spoke of how Matt was ready to meet their family early on in their relationship. He saw Matt steal a glance at Savannah, and he knew at that moment he was looking at his future son-in-law! Matron of Honor Sarah (and Savannah’s twin sister!) shared how Matt makes Savannah laugh, comforts her, and how well they balance each other out.

Matt’s Best Man, Bryan, talked about his and Matt’s favorite past times, including trying hotter and hotter hot sauces until they question their life choices. He ended the speeches with a note that made everyone laugh! “Some ships are made of wood, some ships are made of metal, but the best kind of ship is your relationship.” Guests enjoyed mingling in the garden, playing cornhole, grabbing drinks at the outdoor bar, and dancing the night away with the largest group on the dancefloor that I’ve ever seen! It was a fantastic night filled with so much fun, and familiar faces. Congratulations again Savannah and Matt, and I hope you enjoy your honeymoon!!
