A Beach Sunset Engagement Session | Richmond Wedding Photographer
Meet Bethany and Zach! These two just had their engagement session at First Landing State Park last weekend. Bethany and Zach originally met all the way back in middle school! A few years later, they were dating by their junior year in high school. They are now finally planning their wedding together, after 7 years and an eventful trip to Niagara Falls where Zach popped the question! Talk about high school sweethearts! I love how Bethany and Zach are such best friends. Watching them giggle and interact with each other was just so cute! Laughter is clearly a huge part of their relationship, and what they love about each other. In their free time, one of their favorite things to do is watch comedy movies! Anything with Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler takes the cake for them. They are definitely comedy buffs!
For their engagement session, Bethany chose First Landing State Park. Bethany likes to travel out to this park with their dogs Harley and Dakota, who love it there! Harley especially loves the opportunity to go swimming.
Two of Bethany’s bridesmaids also came along to help with Dakota and Harley, when they weren’t being photographed! We had a blast walking through some of the overgrown trails, and taking in the beautiful landscape. After Bethany and Zach had some time to get comfortable with the camera, it was time for Dakota and Harley to join in on the fun! Bethany added some white flowers to their collars for the photos, and they looked so precious! Bethany’s bridesmaids did an amazing job of helping to get their attention!
Next, we headed over to the 50th St. Beach Access for some sunset photos! Bethany chose as STUNNING white floral dress for this location, and I just couldn’t over how well their outfits were coordinated! They popped some champagne and took some more adorable photos with Harley and Dakota, and then we are ready to head to the water. When Bethany had mentioned wanting to get into the water for her session, I was so excited! I’ve never gotten to do those kinds of photos of before, and I knew it would be fun. As much fun as I knew it would be, Zach and I were also both a bit afraid of how cold it might be! The water ended up being much warmer than any of us thought, and it was TOTALLY worth it! We got some amazingly dreamy beach engagement photos, and I hope Bethany and Zach love them!
