Fall Burlington Wedding with Bold Colors | Virginia Wedding Photographer
It was an absolutely gorgeous day for Becky and Ran’s fall Burlington wedding! All of the leaves seemed to change overnight almost just for them. Becky and her bridesmaids were busy getting ready, and were having a blast playing music and chatting with each other. Becky was starting to get a little nervous, and was so excited for her first look with Ran! When it was time for Becky to put on her dress, the emotions just started flowing. It was finally all so real for everyone! Everyone’s eyes watered with pride at the sight of Becky in her dress, as she grinned ear to ear.
When it was time for their first look, Becky’s bridesmaids accompanied her her to where Ran was waiting. Their first look was so sweet! Before Ran even turned around, he was already tearing up with excitement. Once he was ready, he turned around to see his bride, and had the sweetest reaction. He stood for a moment taking Becky in, tears streaming down his face as he embraced her in a hug. Becky and Ran cried, giggled, and embraced each other again and again as they squealed in excitement that their wedding day was finally here!

Their ceremony was straight out of a movie. The sun shone brilliantly on the endless fields of their venue, with a pleasant breeze rustling the fall colors of the trees. As Becky’s father walked her down the aisle, Ran was beaming at his best friend that he was about to marry. After some readings shared by their grandparents, Becky and Ran shared their vows that they had written. Ran shared many sweet moments, like how he promised to wake Becky up and remind her to go to bed every time she falls asleep on the couch. He also vowed to get all the spiders, even though their friend Ben says that they’re really important for the environment.
Their vows had all of their guests crying and laughing at the same time! Becky could hardly say Ran’s name through the tears, as she vowed to be best friends and always care for him. Their officiant spoke about how even through all the craziness of the year, everyone came together for them to celebrate their love. Becky and Ran shared their first kiss as husband and wife, and were announced Mr. and Mrs. Johnson!
Becky and Ran descended the grand staircase with their bridal party to enter their reception, and start the celebrations! They shared a very sweet first dance, where Ran spun Becky around the room. After doing so, he let out an excited, “I did it!” After some wonderful toasts, Becky and her father shared a touching dance to “Return to Pooh Corner,” by Kenny Loggins. Then, in full theatre major spirit, Ran entered the reception decked out for his surprise dance to Super Freak from Little Miss Sunshine. Everyone was laughing and enjoying every moment of their fun filled reception!
Their incredible night ended with a sparkler exit! All day we were talking about how thankful we were that the rain had held off, and given them such a beautiful day. Well, just as everyone was lining up for their exit, the rain started falling! I have to give an incredible shout out to Becky’s planner, Debora, and my second photographer Stephanie, for quickly grabbing whatever they could to keep my camera equipment dry. It went from a few rain drops to a downpour almost immediately, with Becky and Ran racing for their convertible get away car! They stopped for a quick kiss and then raced to get the roof up on the car. As quickly as it all happened, the rain gave the most amazing back drop for one of my favorite exit shots I’ve ever taken!
Congratulations again you two, and I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your amazing day!
