Spring was in full swing for Megan and Sam’s Maymont engagement session! For their session, we were delightfully surprised by a number of blooms popping up around the grounds. With all of the colorful bulbs and bright sun, you wouldn’t know that it was actually a very chilly spring day! Megan and Sam were all smiles for their session, and were more than happy to brave the wind for some stunning portraits!

I will admit, Dakota’s answers to my inquiry questionnaire got my attention pretty quickly! I could tell that she and Phil were such a fun couple, and I was so excited to chat with them over Zoom. When I saw Dakota still in her, “Elf Day,” outfit from her job as an elementary school teacher, I knew that I just HAD to photograph their wedding!

Dakota and Phil met through mutual friends at a Halloween party, and have been dating since August of 2017! Dakota is an elementary school teacher, and Phil is a registered nurse, studying to become a Nurse Practitioner. Between their busy schedules, they love getting to explore the outdoors with their rescue pup Nacho, renovating their new home together, and rewatching the Office!
