Today I’m sharing some of my favorite Virginia engagement session locations! I’m always asked about where my favorite places are, and which places might look best. Any location with great light will look amazing, but it’s important to choose a location that feels like you! The location for your session will be the biggest factor in setting the “vibe,” of your photos. For example, a session in a busy downtown area will look very different from a session out in an open field. You’d also probably choose different outfits in those scenarios!

Ana Karina and Bryson’s downtown Roanoke engagement session was an absolute dream! We couldn’t possibly have asked for better lighting! We have been so excited for some rooftop engagement photos, and Roanoke did not disappoint 🙂 We had a blast exploring the downtown area, and found so many different spots! Ana Karina and Bryson did such a great job coordinating their outfits, and I just can’t get over all the gorgeous colors in their session!

After Marlea and Matt’s engagement session at Maymont, it is officially my new FAVORITE fall location! I just can’t get over all of the stunning fall views from their session! Marlea and Matt styled their outfits wonderfully, and her burgundy dress pops so well against the yellow leaves. These two made a fantastic choice opting for a fall Maymont engagement session! I had such a great time getting to know them better as we explored the ground. Marlea works as a Kindergarten teacher, and actually laughed that she just had picture day with the school that day as well!
