If any brides-to-be out there are scouring the internet for their dream team of Richmond wedding vendors, then I hope my posts over the next two weeks are a helpful resource! I’d love to share some of the amazing vendors that I’ve had the opportunity to work with over the past wedding season. Having an amazing vendor team that collaborates well and goes the extra mile for their couples really makes everything run so smoothly on the big day!
Any time you see smiles on either of these couples’ faces, know that Kristin Ridge and Marylee Marmer Events helped put them there! Kristin Ridge planned Heather and Orion’s (right) fall wedding at Grace Estate Winery. Getting to work with her was such a dream! Not only did she bring along extra styling details for their rings and invitations, but she was absolutely wonderful at organizing all of the vendors for a stress-free and fun reception. She also brought along her own catering team, SmokedKitchen and Tap, which did an AMAZING job!
Marylee Marmer Events helped Lindsey and Jacob (left) with their wedding planning! Their wedding at the Virginia House was absolutely stunning, and seemed to have jumped right out of a storybook. Everything was so relaxed, and ran so smoothly! Marylee went out of her way for anything Lindsey and Jacob needed, and really helped them get to sit back and experience their reception uninterrupted. She also helped them find their caterer, DeFazio’s Catering. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a better vendor meal than from them, everything was just delicious! If you are looking for a wedding planning team, I highly recommend these two!

MaryLee Marmer helped with this gorgeous set up from WPA Bakery for Lindsey and Jacob’s wedding. If you are looking for a way to put a unique spin on your reception, consider flavored pies! These were absolutely delicious, and there was a flavor that every guest could enjoy. WPA did an especially wonderful job crafting Lindsey and Jacob’s wedding cake, and matching it to their overall wedding style!

A personal friend of the bride and groom, Allison Wilmoth, created this cake for Lauren and Nick’s wedding! The flowers were a beautiful way they tied in the cake with their reception decor, which was themed with their favorite Michigan sports team! Lauren and Nick found such unique ways to include their friends and family throughout their wedding day, but my favorite has to be their cake topper. Included in their cake topper is their beloved dog Duke, who sadly passed away just before the wedding. Though bittersweet, he was with them in spirit all day at their wedding, thanks to Lynn’s Little Creations.

I know that one of the hardest planning decisions to make is probably deciding on your venue! There are so many different options, with each venue bringing along their own perks. If you are still on the search for your dream wedding venue, then I have to share about The Virginia House! This historical mansion in Richmond is an absolutely stunning option for your wedding. With high brick arches, historical architecture, and an expansive garden and estate for sunset portraits, it has such a unique aesthetic! One of my favorite things about this venue is also the ability to have an outdoor reception. Especially for fall weddings, the sun sets perfectly behind the reception space, allowing for golden hour shots of first dances!

If you are dreaming of stunning views for your wedding venue, then you have to consider Grace Estates Winery in Crozet, Virginia! This winery sits atop its stunning estate full of rolling hills and breathtaking views. The different aspects of this venue allow for such a variety in your portraits! The gorgeous estate house with its grand columns, the wide expansive views, or rows of vines, there is something for everyone here. Rain, snow, sleet, or hail, their reception space overlooking the view will blow you away!

Hanover Tavern is also one of my favorite Venues I got to visit this year! Hanover Tavern is a quaint little venue in Hanover, Virginia, that also operates a well known brunch spot! Because of this, their catering is definitely on point! Along with historic building, gorgeous wrap around front deck, and stunning ceremony site, the reception hall at Hanover Tavern is a hanging-light dream! The lights cascading across the high ceilings adds such a dreamy elegance to ANY reception.
